The Choir will perform in Italy's major cities - Rome, Florence and Venice from May 27 - June 7 in the American Celebration of Music in Italy, organized by Music Celebrations International.

In addition to a program of performances, sightseeing in Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan and other regions of Europe will enrich participants' understanding and appreciation of the dynamic cultural present and past of Italy. During 2002, Italy is hosting a continuing celebration of the New Millennium, which is bringing millions of visitors to Rome and other parts of Italy to celebrate, to worship and to enjoy and absorb the culture and history of the country.

The Berea College Concert Choir

The Berea College Concert Choir, formed in 1949, has for five decades performed inspirational concerts for audiences in the United States, Europe and Canada. Since 1980, under Bolster's direction, the choir has toured extensively in the eastern U.S. and during January 1994, performed on tour in Eastern Europe.

Bolster said the Choir also has 20 spaces available for College staff, retirees, alumni or others that would like to travel with the Choir on this summer's tour. Those traveling with the choir on the tour will be full members of the trip, sharing a common itinerary and enjoying all of the planned activities.
