Rev. Elaine Maust will present the inaugural event in the Snyder
Peace Initiative at Berea College on October 9 at noon in Cowan
Chapel of Union Church.
Rev. Maust is co-pastor, along with her husband Duane, of the
Jubilee Mennonite Church in Meridian, Mississippi. In addition
to a range of creative community ministries and periods of service
in South America, Rev. Maust plays an important role in the national
operations of the Mennonite Church.
In addition to the Oct. 9 service, Oct. 8-11 Rev. Maust will
be meeting with classes and other groups on campus.
The Elizabeth & Harry Snyder Sr. Memorial Fund for Peace & Conflict
Resolution Initiatives was established in 1998 to encourage students,
faculty and staff at Berea College to consider alternatives to
violence. The fund is administered through the President's Office
and through the College’s Campus Christian Center.
