Berea’s annexation issues will be the topic at the next Berea Forum scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 9, 4 - 5 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Bruce Building on the Berea College campus.

City council member and attorney Steven Connelly will address the current status of annexation, referencing the most up-to-date maps and figures and will talk about future expectations and growth. Questions about annexation, commercial development, or other debated issues are welcome. Connelly will also be available to address other topics being considered in city government and give updates on current projects taking place in Berea.

Connelly, a native Berean, has been a member of City Council since 1996 and an attorney in private practice since 1981.

Berea Forum programs are free and open to the public. Meetings are scheduled the second Tuesday of every month (unless otherwise noted), from 4 - 5 p.m., and are planned by a committee of retired persons with staff assistance provided by Berea College’s Office of Special Programs. Parking is available around the Bruce Building, the Nursing Building Parking Lot and also behind Boone Tavern, in addition to near-by on-street parking. An elevator is accessible through the Appalachian Center in the Bruce Building.
