Sponsored by the College's Campus Christian Center, all activities are free of charge and the public is invited to attend.

At 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, in Phelps Stokes-Chapel, Rev. Adams will speak on "Are Science and Religion Destined to be Enemies?" Following the program, a reception is scheduled in the Phelps-Stokes Green Room.

Sept. 25-27, Rev. Adams will lead noon worship services in Cowan Chapel of Union Church, addressing the questions "How Big is God's Love?" on Tuesday; "Should I Give Satan a Second Thought?" on Wednesday, and "What Happens When the Spirit Says No?" on Thursday. Each service will be followed by a sandwich buffet and dialogue at 12:30 in the Union Church Fellowship Hall.

An Atlanta native, Rev. Adams has been senior pastor at Trinity for the last ten years. Organized in 1949, and with a current membership of over 2,000, Trinity Church was named in a 2001 nationwide study funded by the Lilly Endowment as one of America's "most outstanding Protestant Churches."

In addition to her duties at Trinity, Rev. Adams is also active on several boards and local organizations. Currently, she is chair of the Board of Trustees of Columbia Theological Seminary; a member of the Executive Committee of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, and the Board of Visitors of Emory University, among others.

Nationally recognized for her preaching and writing skills, Rev. Adams also has received a Community Action Award by the National Council of Jewish Women and awarded an honorary doctorate by Davidson College. Twice she has been preacher for the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA and the Protestant Hour, preacher for the Chautaugua Institution, and for several other national gatherings.

Rev. Adams' undergraduate study was at Emory University and her graduate study at Columbia Theological Seminary. She and her husband Alfred B. Adams III, an attorney, have a daughter, a son and a granddaughter.
