One senior, seven juniors, seven sophomores and one freshman are finalists for Berea College Homecoming queen and king.

The coronation, a highlight of the Nov. 17-19 weekend, will take place during half-time of the Saturday night basketball game between Berea and Ohio Southern College at the Seabury Center.

Candidates for queen are Kiki Anderson, a junior child and family studies major from Greenville, S. C.; Stephanie Jennings, junior nursing major, Owenton; Kisha Lashley, junior technology and industrial arts major, Loubiere, Dominica; Kate Livingston, junior business administration major from Portland, Ore.; Gabrielle McWhorter, sophomore biology and pre-medicine major, Birmingham; Donna Millard, sophomore psychology major, Cecelia; Stacy Salyers, junior neuro-science major from Flatwoods, and LaShaundra Thedford, a sophomore biology and pre-medicine major from Hueytown, Ala.

Competing for the title of Homecoming king are Rashad Abdur-Rahman, a freshman biology major from Houston, Texas; Doug Clark, junior technology and industrial arts major, Lincolnton, N.C.; Tapiwa "Frosty" Machaka, sophomore business administration major, Harare, Zimbabwe; Munyaradzi Masawi, junior biology major, Redcliff, Zimbabwe; Xavier McKinzie, sophomore technology management major, Atlanta, Ga.; Khalif Morris, sophomore business administration major, New York City; Terrence Surles, senior education studies major, Birmingham, Ala., and Patrick Thomas, a sophomore sociology major form Maryville, Tenn.

The queen and king will be crowned by Felicia Swinney, Berea's 1999 Homecoming Queen and 1999 Homecoming King, Maurice Chamblin.

Assisting with the ceremony will be crown bearer Tori Mikayla Conley, daughter of Albert and Wendy Nichols Conley of Berea, both members of the class of 1993, and sceptor bearer Donovan Preston McClure, son of "Jay" and Donna Sue Baker McClure of Lily, Ky., a member of the class of 1986.
