Covering topics as diverse as the economic outlook in a Presidential
election year and the pros and cons of investing in the technology
sector, Berea College's 25th annual estate planning conference
will be held Oct. 6-7 on the College campus.
Registration for the conference will be from 2-6 p.m. on Friday,
Oct. 6 in the lobby of Boone Tavern Hotel. Conference sessions
are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, 8:40 a.m. - noon, in Baird
Lounge of the Alumni Building.
Topics and presenters include "Economic Outlook in a Presidential
Election Year," Don Ross, chief economist, National City Investment
Management Co, Cleveland, Ohio; "Investments--Growth vs. Value--Where
Does Technology Fit In?," Donald L. Keller, senior vice president,
Firstar Bank, Cincinnati; "Gifting IRA's--A Way to Reduce
Estate and Income Taxes," John Hawkins, senior vice president,
Deloitte and Touche, Louisville, and "How to Save Your Estate
From Taxes," Dianne Blanford, attorney, Fowler, Measle and
Bell, Lexington.
A 12:15 luncheon in Boone Tavern Dining Room will close the conference.
An optional campus tour will be offered at 3 p.m.
