Michael A. Ross has been named director of Facilities Management at Berea College effective June 1.

Ross will coordinate the activities of 63 full-time and 79 student employees. The facilities management department provides services that maintain and improve all College physical properties and include transportation, landscaping, renovation, construction, repair, maintenance and improvements to campus buildings, grounds, rentals and recreational sites.

A facilities management employee since 1983, Ross was appointed assistant director in 1987 and has been associate director of the department since 1997. He succeeds Diane Kerby, who has been promoted to assistant vice-president for business and administration at the College.

A native of Grayson, Ross is a 1984 graduate of Berea. He and his wife Linda have two children, Matthew, a 2000 graduate of Berea Community High School, and daughter Erin Ross Knight, also of Berea.
