Patty
Wallace, 52, has spent over 20 years fighting for her mountains.
Shes fought corporations, state and local govern-ments, and
even her husband, who works in construction and mining. She has
opposed landfills, hazardous waste inciner-ators, mountaintop removal
mining, and helped abolish the broad form deed. As chairperson
of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, a state-wide grassroots organization,
she has banded her Appalachian neighbors together to protect their
land and homes. No wonder they call her the Housewife from Hell. (more...)
