Service Award Nominations

We invite you to nominate persons for the award using the online form.  Please be certain to include all the pertinent information that is requested on the form.  Please recall that you are in a better position than the committee to highlight the achievements of your nominee.

The following are the guidelines for the Service Award:

1. Nominations from General Faculty members, Board members, staff, alumni and friends of the College;
2. Not more than three awards are presented in one year;
3. To honor persons who in their daily lives and their service to humanity have exemplified the Berea Commitments;
4. To honor practical service by persons in all walks of life.

The most recent recipients of the Berea College Service Award from 2006-7 were
Toby Ives, Retired Executive Director of the Food Bank MANNA in Asheville, North Carolina
and Dr. Everett and Roberta Schaeffer, for the long-term service to the Red Bird Mission Hospital in Beverly, Kentucky.
