Michael Berheide received his B.A. In Political Science from Ohio
Northern University in 1976 and his Ph.D. From Indiana University in
1984, with a dissertation entitled "Methodology and Metaphysics: Karl
Popper and the Practice of Political Science." He came to Berea in
1981, and is currently Professor and Chair of the Department. He teaches
Introduction to the Study of Politics, Research Methods, American
Constitutional Law, Formal Democratic Theory, Public Policy and
Administration, Senior Research Seminar, Natural Science,
American Political Thought, and Contemporary Global Issues.
Dr. Berheide's current research centers around a book manuscript
tentatively entitled Deus Ludens: A Theodicy of God at Play, examining
various social and political problems in the context of a developing
theodicy. He enjoys playing music and cards, fishing and (watching)
sports and long walks along the beach with "that someone special." |
