Berea College announces a full time, two-year position in Music, with possible extension to tenure track. Primary responsibilities include teaching studio and class piano, with additional duties in the areas of music theory. Demonstrated excellence in studio and group piano teaching at the college or university level is highly desirable. The position will allow opportunities for teaching in other areas of specialization or interest such as music literature, accompanying, technology, history, and the General Studies program. Doctorate is required. Rank and salary are dependent upon candidate’s experience and qualifications. Starting date, Fall 2010. Commitment to the purposes of the College and to superior teaching at the undergraduate level is essential.
