Berea College students often are the first in their families to attend college, and they excel in Berea’s rigorous, nationally-recognized academic environment.  Berea College ranks among the leading colleges in the South in graduating students who go on to earn the Ph.D., and our graduates distinguish themselves in many fields, including social service, government, the arts, business, education, medicine, and science.

Minority candidates are especially encouraged to apply.  Interested applicants should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, graduate and undergraduate academic transcripts, a statement of teaching philosophy, and three letters of recommendation to: Dr. Jay Baltisberger, CPO 1722, Berea College, Berea, KY 40404.  Consideration of applicants will begin October 1st, 2008; applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
