Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Business with a specialty in Marketing
Berea College announces a full-time, tenure-track position in the Business Program, beginning August 2013. The position is expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate marketing courses and participation in the College’s General Studies Program. Required courses include Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Research. Other teaching or research interests will be considered, including, but not limited to, Integrated Marketing Communication, Digital and Social Media Marketing, International Marketing, Innovation and Design, or Business Law. The Business program works closely with the Economics program, and both programs are in a division that includes Computer and Information Science, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Technology and Applied Design, Sustainability and Environmental Studies, and the faculty member from the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good Program.
We seek candidates who hold a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field. We also seek candidates who can achieve excellence in teaching and scholarship and who, in an undergraduate liberal arts environment, will find ways to grow professionally and to interact with students on a one-on-one basis.
Application materials should include a letter of application, C.V., transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable at this stage), teaching evaluations where applicable, statement of teaching philosophy, and three letters of recommendation. Applicants should submit these materials to Professor Ed McCormack, Program Coordinator for Economics and Business, at email@example.com. Additional materials may be requested at a later date. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2012.
