Research and Prospect Manager

Intro:
Berea College is actively recruiting for the position of Research and Prospect Manager. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development, this position will provide leadership, vision and oversight for the development research and prospect management efforts in support of the College.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing leadership and management for the unit; conducting highly confidential research to assist all fundraising efforts; supporting the prospect assessment and management needs of fundraising initiatives by preparing gift tables, analysis of data and attainment of goals as well as post-campaign/project analysis and reporting; monitoring publications and online groups to identify market conditions and emerging issues that may impact active portfolios or fundraising projects.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications: B.A./B.S. degree; 3-4 years experience in development, preferably in higher education, with a high functioning, effective research and prospect management program; capital or comprehensive campaign experience is preferred; demonstrated computer/technical expertise, analytical ability, and database management experience.
