Intro:
The Office of Externally Sponsored Programs at Berea College offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant with to provide support services to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant include the following: maintaining information about all programs and activities and how they fit together; coordination of various programs to prevent duplication of efforts and ensuring integration of health and wellness activities and the arts and humanities across Promise Neighborhood programming; working closely with departmental communication staff to share news and information about Promise Neighborhood efforts in the region, statewide and nationally, including web-based information mechanisms; working with staff and partners on project planning and reporting; working hand-in-hand with the Director to ensure Promise Neighborhood goals and objectives are met.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position must have the following qualifications: a bachelor’s degree required, substantial experience preferred in nonprofit programming and coordination, communications and management; 10-12 years experience working in a nonprofit organization with duties revolving around all facets of the nonprofit programs; high level of skills in communication and coordination, working with a wide variety of stakeholders; experience working with public schools, with early childhood programs, domestic violence programs, health and wellness and/or community safety is important.
