Intro:

Berea College is seeking an Associate Director for the federally funded OVW STEP Project.

Responsibilities:

This full-time 12-month (242) day position will work out of the Promise Neighborhood office in Berea, Kentucky, to direct the project which will serve the high schools in Clay, Jackson, and Owsley Counties. The STEP project will conduct a needs assessment and plan to offer services and activities to high school students to raise awareness about domestic violence affecting teenagers.  This position will supervise 5 staff members.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants should possess: Five (5) years experience working with schools or community based agencies, ideally coordinating partnerships, development and implementing projects and evaluating projects. Experience with federal grant administration and experience working with victims and survivors of domestic violence. Extensive travel by car or van in Clay, Jackson, and Owsley Counties.
A Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (education, social work, human services, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  A Master’s Degree is preferred
