Berea College is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the federally funded Promise Neighborhood.

Responsibilities:
This full-time position provides administrative and secretarial support to the Associate Director for Parent Partnership, primarily by managing files and coordinating data entry, scheduling meetings, and assisting with maintaining and monitoring projects and support for the projects and functions of the Parent Engagement Partnership.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should possess: 3 or more years of successful secretarial/administration experience in a professional office setting where responsibilities included data entry, word processing, managing correspondence, filing, prior supervision and scheduling of work teams, event planning, meeting preparation and management of building space and resources. Computer competency; data entry, word processing; familiarity with Excel or other spreadsheets; strong secretarial skills including ability to handle several projects simultaneously with close attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines; excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills; ability to work/talk with staff and leadership personnel in our partner school districts as well as parents, community partners and others across campus; ability to manage Berea College labor students through labor department processes, scheduling and supervision; ability to maintain confidentiality and protect the private nature of files and conversations; must have mature judgment and positive attitude.
An Associate’s Degree is required; B.A. or B.S. is preferred relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
