- Complete a registration form online no
later than Thursday, September 14th or submit your hard copy registration
form in the special collection box located on the counter of the
College Post Office; be sure to check participation as a “retiree.”
- You will find a step log on the Get Moving web page or be given
eight hard copies of the step log; save the step log onto the desktop
of your laptop & record steps daily or hand enter your daily
steps onto your step log
- You will be responsible for totaling your individual steps
- If you are participating electronically, every Sunday you will
be sent a survey with two questions providing the information calculated
from your step log
- Your individual name
- Your total steps for that week
- If you are not participating electronically, write your weekly
steps on the hard copy log provided to you and drop that log into
the special collection box located on the counter of the College
Post Office each Monday
- Be sure to attach & use the safety strap that was issued
with your pedometer
- Attach the clip end to your pedometer & when wearing your
pedometer, clip the other end to a piece of your clothing. If
your pedometer should fall off, the safety strap will hopefully
prevent losing your pedometer altogether.
Every Week, Every Monday:
- Using the calculations from your individual log, complete the
two question survey by the end of day each Monday if you are participating
electronically or write your weekly steps on the hard copy log
provided to you and drop that log into the special collection box
located on the counter of the College Post Office
- Successful completion automatically drops your survey into survey
package being used for “Get Moving Berea College” if
you are participating electronically
Every Week, Every Monday:
- Start keeping track of your steps beginning Monday, September
18th
- Be diligent & habitual in recording your steps at the end
of each day; you will reset your pedometers back to zero each
morning
- If you are participating electronically, you are encouraged
to save your individual pedometer log onto your computer desktops;
with the formulas already entered onto the spreadsheets all you
have to do is enter your steps each day & weekly totals
will be done for you
- Challenge yourself each week to increase your weekly step totals – “This
week I will take no short cuts.”
- Weekly results will be posted here
as well as in the Outlook public folder, Get Moving Berea College
- Weekly giveaways will be awarded to the best stepping individual
participant; no individual may qualify for back to back weekly
giveaways.
