Information for Residence Groups

 
  • To be a part of the residential competition, you should be registered as a participant on a team or as an individual
  • Complete a registration form no later than Thursday, September 14th
  • You will find a step log on the Get Moving web page; save the step log onto the desktop
  • of your laptop & record steps daily
  • Every Sunday you will be sent a survey with three questions providing the information calculated from your step log
    1. Your individual name
    2. Your house or dorm of residence
    3. Your total steps for that week
  • Your steps will be entered with all other residents in your house or residence for a weekly total, accumulating for a grand eight week total
  • All houses & dorms have been assigned one of five groups based on total occupancy
  • Special awards will be presented to the top residence in each group at the end of the eight weeks of Get Moving Berea College

Every Week, Every Monday:

  • Using the calculations from your individual log, complete the three question survey by the end of day each Monday
  • Successful completion automatically drops your survey into survey package being used for “Get Moving Berea College”

More General Information

  • Start keeping track of your steps beginning Monday, September 18th
  • Be diligent & habitual in recording your steps at the end of each day; you will reset your pedometers back to zero each morning
  • You are encouraged to save your individual pedometer log onto your computer desktops; with the formulas already entered onto the spreadsheets all you have to do is enter your steps each day & weekly totals will be done for you
  • Challenge yourself each week to increase your weekly step totals – “if I had…"
  • HAVE FUN! KEEP STEPPIN'!
