Stephanie Henry

Hello! My name is Stephanie Henry, and I’m back for my third and final year on the BC-Now staff, though it would appear that I’m now in a position of power!  I am a senior here at Berea College; only a few months to go!  I originally hail from Louisville, KY, just a few hours up the interstate. 

I am majoring in English with an emphasis on writing, and am especially interested in journalism and photography.  I’m an avid reader, and I greatly enjoy Marquez, Nabokov, Camus and most of classical writers.

Why Berea, you ask? To be honest, the first two things that attracted me to Berea College were the full paid tuition and the free laptop. After visiting the campus and staying here, my reasons expanded. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming here, and I love that kind of atmosphere. I am a social person, and I enjoy meeting new people.

While my post-Berea plans are still not set in stone, there are many things I could see myself doing, such as moving to a bigger city and trying my hand at writing for a magazine, or “crossing the pond” to Europe to see what kind of mess I can get myself into over there.  You’ll be seeing my name again somewhere along the line!  Cheers!
