Biography

A University of Kentucky graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Mathematics, Ryan is well known throughout the community as a conductor, concert pianist, and composer. He  also serves on staff at  Eastern Kentucky University, serves as the choral accompanist for the University of Kentucky, collaborates with the Governor's School for the Arts, teaches at Centenary School of Music, and freelances as an accompanist, adjudicator, and clinician for many regional music conferences, including most recently the International Conference for Arts and Humanities in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 2004, Ryan had the pleasure of working with Michael Friedman for the Lexington Shakespeare Festival, in which he was composer for a musical adaptation of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Since then, he has worked with numerous arts organizations in the region as music director.

Concert performances include a two-week concert tour in China , a performance with Francisco Nunez for the KMEA Children's Chorus, a concert in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC and a performance at the 37th Annual International Double Reed Society Conference in Provo, Utah.

He is thrilled to work with other local colleagues to run a musical theatre company( Paragon Music Theatre) that  shares in his vision of improving the musical art form through collaboration, inspiration, and creativity.
