Biography
Robert J. Lewis is the Mary W. McGaw Professor of Music at Berea College where he has taught since 1958. He holds degrees in piano performance from the Ithaca College School of Music and Louisiana State University. He has also studied at Syracuse University,Boston University, University of Colorado,University of Louisville, and University of Kentucky. His piano study has been with George Mulfinger,George Driscoll,Rowena Dickey,Dorothy Stolzenbach Payne, Bela Boszormenyi Nagy, and Malcolm Bilson. He received the Seabury Award for Excellence in Teaching. He has served as Piano Chairman for KMTA and has been a judge for music festivals and contests for many years.
