Women’s Chorus Fall Concert

The Berea College Women’s Chorus, directed by Coletta Jones, will perform a fall concert on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 8 p.m. in Gray Auditorium in Presser Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Directed by Coletta Jones, the choir will collaborate with English professor Dr. Libby Jones, to feature songs both sung and spoken.

The musical selections will include: “Everything She Touches” by Joan Szymko, “To Sing is To Fly” by Gwyneth Walker, “Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre and “Ticket to the Kingdom” by Donald Moore.

Berea College Women’s Chorus is open to all female students, regardless of their majors. The Women’s chorus is typically comprised of 30 singers performing music specifically arranged for female voices. Their repertoire includes a variety of music, including pop, classical and folk in both sacred and secular settings.
