The Penny Loafers Quartet Performs 25th Anniversary Concert During Berea College’s Homecoming

The Penny Loafers, an a cappella quartet based in Berea, Kentucky, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with two concerts on November 13, 2010. The concerts will be performed at 3 and 7:30 p.m. at Berea Baptist Church located at 310 Chestnut Street in Berea. The group formed at Berea College in 1985 and the concerts are being held in conjunction with Berea College’s homecoming weekend.

All former members of the group will return for the performance. Come see and hear this “unplugged” style of music featuring each foursome singing songs from their eras. The entire group more than a dozen strong will also perform several songs. You will also hear some of their favorite stories, see old photos, view some “Loafer” memorabilia and have the chance to take the Loafers home with you on a CD. The current group will
unveil their brand new album “Ever-Present Help.”
