This
webpage explores the development and the work of an undergraduate
research program at Berea College which utilizes the community as
a resource for important and interesting research topics. The research
itself has examined topics such as estimating certain aspect of the
biological, chemical, and agricultural impact of a divisive proposal
for a local chemical weapon incinerator by using mathematical and
computer modeling. The evolution of our collaborative relationship
with regional environmental organizations is also detailed.
