Updating Job Descriptions
Well written job descriptions help students and staff gain a better understanding of the various positions available on campus. Job descriptions also provide an expanded view of the level of responsibilities a student may expect to assume in a position and serve as a basic guide in discovering major and career related opportunities that exist on campus.
Having accurate and well written job descriptions available to students is an essential step in meeting the educational requirements for the Labor Program. Periodic review and updating is expected in order to better meet the needs of our students through the Labor Program.
Update Process
There are two sets of instructions and templates available for labor leaders to use in creating or updating student job descriptions:
Single Work-Learning-Service (WLS) Level
Multi Work-Learning-Service (WLS) Levels
Please contact David Slinker, ext. 3734 in the Labor Program Office for further information regarding procedures for updating student job descriptions.
