Department Overview
People Services provides
a variety of services to the faculty and staff of Berea College as well as
retired personnel and prospective applicants for employment. Services
provided include recruiting and employment, training and staff development,
payroll processing, benefits administration and employee relations activities.
Labor positions in People
Services offer hand-on experience for students interested in careers in human
resource management, public administration, the legal profession, or education. Assignments
involve nearly every aspect of department operations.
The Department employs students
with a variety of majors. General
qualifications include the following skills: customer service, written and
verbal communications, the ability to work independently as well as part
of a team, attention to detail and confidentiality.
