Department Overview

The Draper Building Secretary employees four students: one student manager (15 hours) and three student secretaries (10 hours). The office provides services for Academic Departments of English and Theatre, Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Philosophy and Religion. Student workers will be expected to learn several computer programs and instruct faculty and students in the uses of computers and printers. Students must have good interpersonal and communicational skills. Daily assignments include correspondence, class handouts, printing and collation of course materials, mail service, and miscellaneous office tasks. The office receives many telephone calls each day. Students must be able to record messages carefully and promptly deliver them to the faculty in Draper Building.
