Department Overview

The Center for Learning, Teaching, Communication, and Research is a place where people work together for good writing, reading, speaking, listening, and learning. Certified peer consultants, Sophomores, juniors and seniors from different majors, are available to give instructive feedback to individuals and groups on all stages of assignments for papers, journals, readings, research, creative writing, oral presentations. Consultants also provide assistance with study skills, test taking, resumes, and interviewing in beginning or advanced classes or for personal or professional use. Resources available at the Center for Learning, Teaching, Communication, and Research include handbooks, texts, handouts on communication topics, computers, audio-visual learning materials, and a video camera for taping practice presentations.
