Department Overview
The
Chemistry Department prepares students for graduate work in Chemistry,
for study in medical schools, and for employment in the chemical
industry. Recent graduates have studied in advanced programs
throughout the United States. Harvard University, John Hopkins
University,
and the Universities of Kentucky, Alaska, Louisville, San Diego,
Minnesota, and Cincinnati are a few of the schools that our graduates
have attended or are attending. Students pursuing jobs in industry
are employed by the US Food and Drug Administration in Kansas
City, by the Oakland, CA Police Department, by the US Environmental
Protection Agency, Proctor and Gamble, and a variety of companies
that analyze
environmental samples.
