15 incoming students each year are offered the opportunity
to participate in the Bonner Scholars Program while at
Berea College. Bonner Scholars are chosen based on their
records of academic and community service achievement.
They fulfill their labor requirement through positions
in service either at the college or in the community. In
addition, they participate in leadership training, regional
conferences and service events, receive financial assistance
for summer service, and have access to resources through
the Bonner Foundation. Upperclassmen are accepted if spaces
become available.
