Labor Positions in Elderhostel
Elderhostel programs at Berea College offer learners
55 years of age and older one week educational opportunities to explore Appalachian
culture, history, and literature. Each
program features a wellness course, stimulating lectures and demonstrations
taught by Berea College faculty and experts from the community, and
evening programs
which provide enriching examples of Appalachian culture. Participants come
from all over the nation and enjoy accommodations and meals for five
nights and six days at Boone Tavern. The
Office of Special Programs coordinates 7 – 9 programs per year to inspire
lifelong learning as well as to preserve Appalachian heritage.
