Labor Positions in Student Government Association (SGA)
The Berea College Student Government Association’s purpose is to facilitate student participation in campus government and bring about increased individual and group understanding for the responsibilities of democratic life by promoting positive ideas and actions in the interests of the college.
All students enrolled in the college are members of the Student Government Association. Students need to apply for officer positions by picking up an application in the SGA office and win the election to be on the Executive Board. The president of the SGA is paid by the SGA under the labor program. This is a 15 hr. unclassified contract.
