Most of these could be formal training secessions (small group). Many of these we are already doing one-on-one or with the Quick Response program we have employed.

1. Deliveries & Set-ups of Equipment

  • Train clients on the operation of equipment
  • Train operators (clients) how to operate and/or set-up equipment

2. Classroom Equipment

  • Train Faculty/Staff on the use and operation of built-in equipment
  • Train OBC,s and Building Managers how to maintain equipment
  • Capabilities, proper use and options
  • Rooms with built-in equipment

3. Video Taping

  • Train Students how to video tape classroom presentations
  • Train Faculty/Staff on how to operate, different formats available and the capabilities of VHS vs. Digital.
  • Pre-production and post-production issues
  • Various video editing options and training

4. Audio

  • Basic PA system set-up and operation
  • Proper use of a microphone
  • More complex set-ups using a sound board
  • Built-in sound systems (Phelps Stokes and Gray Auditorium)
  • Sound editing with Sound Forge

5. Projection

  • Types of projection equipment (Overhead, slide, visual presenter, MMP)
  • Best practices to get optimal results
  • Screen, lighting, room set-up

6. Digital Imaging

  • Use of digital cameras (types available, pixels, quality)
  • Downloading, manipulating, printing

7. Production

  • Printing (8 ½ X 11, Poster, Large Format)
  • Banner Printing
  • Transparency production & printing
  • Lamination (cold & hot)

8. Digital production & editing

  • Digital Images
  • Digital Video
  • CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD (Formats)

9. Software Support

  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and PageMaker
