I wish you the absolute best as you embark on this new journey at Berea College. As a recent alumni I am very inspired by your sincere efforts of reaching out and getting to know your new community. The ceremony was beautiful and very well-put together. Berea really is a special place, and I hope that you will grow to cherish and treasure it as much as I have. You have taken the reigns at a place that is very near and dear to my heart. My life has been enriched in so many incredible ways by the people and place that are Berea College. The time I spent as a student taught me more than I can ever repay. I was unable to take take part in the inaugural festivities due to work, but you and Laurie have my complete support and good wishes. I participate most regularly through the Loyal Jones Appalachian Center. If I can be of use in other ways, I trust you will let me know.
