Provenance: The Appalachian Feuds Collections was compiled over several years by Hutchins Library staff in response to the historical, cultural, and popular interest that feud activity has engendered, especially in Kentucky.

Restrictions: There are no restrictions other than federal copyright regulations.

The collection contains early 1900s correspondence between Berea College President William G. Frost and feud researchers, together with manuscript accounts, photographs, and newspaper clippings relating to specific feuds and feuding in general.

History

The collection contains correspondence by William G. Frost on feud research with T. J. Manning (author) and K.E. Putnam (researcher). Manuscript accounts and newspaper reports of other significant feuds in the region are included.

This series consists of correspondence between Berea College President William Frost and feud researchers, 1900 to 1903.
