Artists' Statement: "Like infrared photography, there is currently a resurgence of interest in black & white photography. The resolution of digital cameras has reached the point that the quality surpasses that of film. Inkjet printers and software programs have evolved into digital darkrooms that allow photographers to adjust and manipulate prints far beyond the limits inherent in a traditional darkroom."
The photographs in this exhibit were taken during the summer of 2009 by Brittany Adams, Caleb Wetmore, and Dr. Alan Mills. A Nikon D100 digital camera was modified to capture light from the infrared spectrum. Each image was printed on an Epson 2880 inkjet printer. Supported by an Undergraduate Research and Creative Project grant.
