| Artist's Statement: For those that seek labels, I'll offer myself as a 'post-modern primitive,' 'neo-naive,' or 'faux-folkie.' Painting for me is in the top five of pleasures that make life byeond unbearable. I have no set rules or techniques and desire the mysterious to emerge. Fun is important. A free imagination and an old board with paint is my vehicle for sometimes profound but most often absurd realizations. None of the images should be taken too seriously. A child-like fascination with color and form are my methods; my hope is to make others smile. |
