CINAHL - Cumulated Index to Nursing and Allied Health
Indexes and abstracts journals in the fields of NURSING and ALLIED HEALTH. 1982 to the present (abstracts since 1986).
Education Index New York: H.W. Wilson, 1929 to date. Unlike Readers'
Guide and other similar indexes, this index covers conference proceedings
and yearbooks as well as approximately 300 periodicals. The coverage of education
is comprehensive for kindergarten through graduate school as well as adult education.
In addition to aspects of curriculum, administration and teaching techniques,
the index lists articles on education's role in society, descriptions of educational
systems in other countries, and the intellectual and social development of the
child. The index will be useful for such topics as desegregation in schools,
busing, conditions in educational systems of various states or countries, women's
education, as well as information on educational programs such as Black Studies
and Women's Studies. General Science Index NY: H.W. Wilson, 1978 to date. This
index covers approximately 150 periodicals in the sciences. For almost all research

Access is provided here to approximately 300 scholarly
and special interest periodicals in the social sciences. The social sciences
include the behavioral sciences (psychology and sociology), economics, political
science, geography, and social issues. Therefore, SSI is useful for
locating periodical articles on a wide range of topics which are oriented toward
social problems or the study of people and how they act individually and within
groups.
