| Biography |
| Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. For ten years, Cindy worked as a counselor and then as the Director and Clinical Coordinator in a Community Mental Health Center in rural Kentucky before joining the Berea College staff in 2010. As Coordinator of Disability Services, Cindy works in collaboration with students who self-identify as having a physical, mental, or learning disability to identify reasonable accommodations to successfully meet the academic, residential and labor requirements of Berea College. Her counseling practice focuses on Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies as well as using education and personal strengths to address individual problems. In addition, Cindy employs Mindfulness techniques derived from her intense study of Hatha Yoga which she continues to practice and teach. |
