| Biography |
| Maggie is a junior majoring in Agriculture and Natural Resources. She was born and raised in Shelby County, Indiana, on a small farm raising conventional crops and beef cattle. She was attracted to Berea because of the opportunity to study agriculture in a liberal arts environment, and by the campus atmosphere created by the labor program. Her interests are broad and include: promoting the use of regional crops and foods, gardening for food and appearance, fiber arts and other visual and useful art, preservation of rural and traditional cultures, staying up with world events, systems of education, Irish traditional music, learning inside as well as outside the classroom, and feeding people. |
