9/17/2009: Two Confirmed Cases
Two cases have been diagnosed this week among the student population. One has remained in an off-campus residence. The other has gone home. Anyone experiencing flu symptoms (fever greater than 100 degrees, coughing, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, diarrhea, and vomiting) should not attend work or class and should contact Health Service. There is no need to go to Health Service if you are experiencing only one or two of these symptoms and are not running a fever. Do practice social distancing from those who exhibit signs of illness, wash your hands frequently, and get a seasonal flu shot being offered free to employees and students. There is no cause for panic. H1N1 is a virus best prevented by taking these precautions.
