About the Department

The Ecological Sustainability Education (ESE or “easy”) Program is an integrated educational and outreach program in sustainable living at Berea College. Some key features of the ESE program include: campus programs and community outreach (workshops, seminars, presentations to local schools, annual conferences, etc.), communications and publicity, as well as teaching and learning programs and resources.

	Doin’ the Green Thing Berea College is once again competing in the NWF's Campus Ecology CHILL OUT video contest to illustrate how we are addressing global warming. Rate the video with stars and cast your vote by January 31, 2008!

	Examining Learning Outcomes at Work Colleges Meet Alix Heintzman, a student who lives in the SENS House and helps maintain and document the operation of the Ecological Machine, the water treatment system for the Ecovillage as her campus labor position.
