EPG Welcomes New Cohort

Entrepreneurship for the Public Good program accepts new students into the Summer 2009 Cohort

Beginning in early June 2010, the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) program will welcome the next cohort class for its Summer Institute. This year’s group of twenty Berea College students assembles students from the wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures that has come to be a hallmark of the EPG program at Berea College. The newest cohort is comprised of accomplished, motivated individuals from states throughout the Appalachian Region and four countries beyond the United States. Students will be grouped into four teams, each of which will concentrate on one area of potential community economic development.

In the current EPG curriculum each cohort spends an extended period of time living in a community in Eastern Kentucky in order to not only develop their entrepreneurial leadership skills in a real-life setting but also to be able to make genuine contributions to that community and the people who live there.
