Food Summit Dinner Features All-Local Menu
 

In April, the Berea College Dining team created an all-local food dinner for 120 guests, sponsored by the Agricultural Department, as part of the 2009 Food Summit. The dinner was in honor of Summit guest speakers Joel Salatin, a Virginia farmer and author, and Chef and author Odessa Piper. The menu featured meat and produce grown by Berea College students; Forever Farm chicken and produce, Zimmerman's cheese from Better Beef in Berea, local heirloom sweet potatoes, Elmwood Stock Farm produce, and breads baked by Stephanie Clark.
