Founders’ Day Convocation

October 8, 2009, 3:00 p.m.

This convocation will celebrate Berea’s interracial history by honoring Berea alumnus Henry Allen Laine, a visionary African American who was inducted into the Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame. His life of distinguished service reflects the ideals and vision of John G. Fee. President Shinn will present the John G. Fee Award to Mr. Laine’s grandchildren. The Black Music Ensemble will also perform. Sponsored by the President’s Office.
