A Cherokee intellectual, feminist, and anti-violence activist, Andrea Smith is author of Conquest: Sexual Violence and American Indian Genocide and Native Americans and the Christian Right: the Gendered Politics of Unlikely Alliances. Currently she is Associate Professor of Media and Cultural Studies at University of California, Riverside. Co-sponsored with Women's and Gender Studies.
