Berea College Online Catalog
- B.A. Degree with a Major in Chemistry, General Concentration This is the program that is most appropriate for students who want to go on to medical, dental, pharmacy, or other kinds of allied health programs.
- B.A. Degree with a Major in Chemistry, Professional Concentration This is the program that is most appropriate for students who want to work as a laboratory technician or researcher, likely after doing advanced graduate studies.
- Minor in Chemistry These additional courses may be taken beyond the minimum requirements for a related major such as biology, agriculture and natural resources, applied math, or physics. This may also be appropriate for the 3/2 pre-engineering students who may want to work in a chemical related field. A chemistry minor may prove valuable for students wanting to pursue a career in industry where working with chemicals is a portion of the job but not the primary focus (where a chemistry major may be more appropriate).
