Homeless
for a Day
Each year Habitat for Humanity has a fundraiser in which members participate
in being homeless for a day. Members bring a sleeping bag and camp outside Wal-Mart
for twenty-four hours in February collecting change from individuals shopping
at Wal-Mart. This fundraiser helps to fund a Spring Break trip for our Spring
Break Collegiate Challenge. The main goal with Homeless for a Day is to educate
the community about homeless issues.
