On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, the Community Service Programs in CELTS honored the over 200 volunteers who make serving the Berea community possible. The group was welcomed by President Larry Shinn, who spoke about the importance of giving back to the communities in which you live. CELTS Student Director, Lilly Belanger, then introduced the different programs and the Student Program Managers.

As each Program Manger talked about the importance of their specific program to the community, volunteers were asked to stand and be appreciated for the many, many hours they volunteered during the 2010-2011 academic year.

At the conference, workshops and speakers address issues such as hunger and homelessness, climate change, community economic development, health and global topics.
